In the spring of 1965 a group of people came together at the former union Church at River de Chute in Easton, Maine for worship and Christian fellowship. They met under the leadership of Rev. Randolph Wright and became the Easton Faith Mission. They met together with various pastors over the next few years. IN May of 1968 Easton Faith Mission was organized as Easton Wesleyan Methodist Church, becoming a part of the Atlantic Conference of that denomination. In June of 1968 the name changed again as the Wesleyan Methodist Church and the Pilgrim Holiness Church merged and the Easton Wesleyan Church came to be. Ground was broken on a new church building at the present location in August of 1969, with the first service being held on Christmas Sunday off that year and the dedication of the building happening in June of 1970.

In July of 1973, the church had continued to grow and Rev. Bernard Brown was called as the first full time pastor, the church's growth continued and an addition was completed in February of 1980. A new parsonage was built in 1988.Over the years, much work has continued to be accomplished on the property, with new windows, a new sound booth, new chairs and a total remodel of the Sanctuary among others.
